What time is it possible to check in and check out?
Check-in is from 2 p.m., while check-out must be done by midnight.
Does the hotel arrange shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and vice versa?
Hotel Mediterraneo can, upon request, arrange a transfer to and from the airport. The one-way fare is 30.00 euros (for up to 3 people) and 40.00 euros (for 4–8 people); the round-trip fare from the airport to the hotel is 50.00 euros (for 1–3 people) and 75.00 euros (for 4–8 people).
Night service from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.: +5.00 euros for each nighttime trip.
How much does a cab cost from the airport to the hotel?
The fare is around 30.00 euros; of course, this depends on city traffic.
Which city bus should you take to get to the hotel from the airport or train station?
From the airport take the 457 (Alibus) and, once on Via Etnea, get off at the Piazza Stesicoro stop.
From there skirt the Roman amphitheater, which you will find on your left, turn left onto St. Euplius Street.
Take Via Cimarosa to the right and continue until you reach Via Androne.
A few meters to your left, take Via Ughetti and continue to the intersection with Via Adua.
Turn right and then right again onto Dr. Consoli Street where you will find the hotel at No. 27.
Alternatively, continue on Alibus 457 to the terminus (Central Railway Station F.S.) and then continue on Bus 431 BLACK until you arrive at Lake Nicito Street near the intersection with Dr. Consoli Street.
Does the hotel have a garage?
Yes, there is an additional charge of 15.00 euros, but you must reserve it along with your room. Alternatively, you can use an affiliated parking lot a few blocks from the hotel.
Do children pay for the stay?
One child up to 12 years old, sharing a room with two adults, stays free of charge at our hotel.
Is there WI-FI connection in the hotel?
Among the services offered by Hotel Mediterraneo, Wi-Fi is available and free of charge in all rooms and public areas. Also available, in case you do not have a PC, is an internet point where you can network for free, as well as a package of services dedicated to business stays. The internet point is also equipped with a printer/scanner that can be used free of charge.
Are there smoking and non-smoking rooms?
The hotel has both types of rooms. The preference can be indicated, in the notes, at the time of booking, so as to accommodate the guest.
Is there a restaurant in the hotel?
No, but the hotel bar offers a “Snack Bar” menu where you can order a salad, toast, or pizza.
Alternatively, there are trattorias just a 5-minute walk from the hotel where you can enjoy traditional Sicilian dishes; if you walk another 10–15 minutes to the historic center, you’ll find many restaurants and pizzerias (the front desk staff will be happy to help you choose); finally, keep in mind the Japanese restaurant that has a partnership with the Hotel Mediterraneo.
Do you have luggage storage?
After checking out, by noon, you can leave your bags at the hotel and come pick them up later the same evening.
Is it possible to request a crib?
Yes, at the time of booking and will have no additional charge.
Are pets allowed?
No, we do not allow pets even small pets.
What are the terms of cancellation?
It is generally possible to cancel a reservation by 4 p.m. on the day before arrival, unless you book a promotional rate with specific cancellation policies, such as nonrefundable prepaid rates that, for a significant price reduction, do not provide for changes or cancellations.
Does the hotel have a fitness room?
Yes. Access to the fitness room, open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., is free for all guests who choose the BW Hotel Mediterraneo. There are Tecnogym’s main equipment (electronic treadmill, exercise bike, multifunctional bench, weight rack, etc.), a stereo with MP3 player, and a TV for working out while listening to music or watching your favorite TV program.
Is breakfast included in the room rate?
No, but only by booking from this site you can have our rich breakfast buffet for only 1 Euro per person per night.
