IF YOU TRAVEL...
BY CAR
From the A 18 Catania-Messina freeway, take the exit “Catania centro,” drive all the way down Viale Mediterraneo continuing along Via Vincenzo Giuffrida (about 2 km) to the intersection with Via Umberto. All along the way you will find hotel signs to guide you precisely. Turn right and go all the way down Via Umberto to the intersection with Via Etnea; from here go straight down Via Argentina and turn left at the intersection with Via Sant’ Euplio. Take Via Cimarosa to the right and continue until you reach Via Androne. A few meters, on the left, take Via Ughetti and continue until the intersection with Via Adua; then turn right and then right again onto Via Dottor Consoli where at No. 27 you will find the Hotel. When you arrive at Hotel Mediterraneo Catania, you will have the opportunity to park your car in our private garage (to be reserved with your room).
BY TRAIN
From Catania Central Station you can take AMT bus No. 431 black or take a cab (travel time: 5 minutes). If you take the No. 431 black bus, you will have to get off at the “Lago di Nicito” stop on the corner of Dr. Consoli Street, where the Hotel is located.
BY AIR
Catania Airport “Fontanarossa”
- with a cab you will be at the Hotel Mediterraneo in Catania in just 15 minutes, the distance between the hotel and the airport is 7 km;
- with the AMT bus line No. 457(Alibus) you will arrive at Via Etnea, before the intersection with Via Pacini. From there, reach the intersection and turn left, continuing on Via Cimarosa. Then take Via Androne and turn left to Via Dottor Consoli where Hotel Mediterraneo is located at No. 27. Alternatively, continue by bus 457 to the Central Station and from there take #431 BLACK to the “Lago di Nicito” stop at the corner with the Hotel street.
Comiso Airport “Pio La Torre”
Recently opened to civilian traffic, Comiso Airport is an excellent reference for low-cost travelers. To get to Catania simply take the Autolinee Giamporcaro bus, which will get you to your destination in an hour and a half.
